Woolshed proprietors Fleur & Jim Whelan are passionate about great food and wine and excellent service. With over thirty-five years' combined experience in the hospitality industry, they have added their distinctive stamp to the Emerald Bank Woolshed since taking over the business in September 2004.
Weddings
At the Emerald Bank Woolshed, it’s those individual touches combined with ambience, food, wine and hospitality which ensure your wedding day is truly memorable.
The Woolshed is a charming, rustic venue situated in picturesque Australian River Gum bush land in Kialla (just minutes south of Shepparton).
The Woolshed’s relaxed setting and view over the lake produce an ambience unmatched in the Goulburn Valley.
You might choose a garden wedding ceremony in the surrounds, or may prefer the simplicity and elegance of the Country Chapel resting beside the Woolshed in the Emerald Bank complex. Either way arrange to have your wedding photos taken against the backdrop of the ornamental lake or looking over the picturesque footbridge to the gums beyond, while your guests enjoy drinks and canapés at the shaded garden tables.
Executive Chef Jim Whelan has designed a variety of menus to suit traditional, contemporary and gourmet tastes. The Woolshed uses only the freshest and most enticing local produce, and works hard to source local Goulburn Valley ingredients. Excellent local wines, sourced from among the many local wineries, compliment the menu to ensure an unforgettable dining experience for you and your guests.
Functions
All corporate functions -- dinners, conferences, workshops, AGM's, and seminars -- can be accommodated, with the centre easily configured to suit your unique requirements.
If your function requires theatre seating or a class-room layout, the Woolshed can accommodate up to 250 people. We can comfortably seat 200 guests at a function without dance floor or 150 whose toes need to tap.
To make your business event run smoothly, the Woolshed can provide a wide range of function equipment, including:
- Stage for speaker, band or DJ
- Microphone for speeches
- CD player for background music
- White board and markers
- Flip chart and butchers paper
- Screen for projector
The function centre has ample car parking and easy access for the disabled.
We are family friendly, with baby change faciities available at all times, and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable atmosphere all year around.For those with accommodation needs, the The Woolshed is situated adjacent to the Paradise Lakes Motel. Peppermill Hotel / Motel is just a few minutes away by car.
